I’m Ruth, owner of Touched by Light- I discovered Reiki quite by chance and fell in love instantly. It was the missing link that brought me a feeling of belonging, a sense that I had a purpose. Up until then I had been lost and drifting from one career to another, nothing ever quite feeling right. With Reiki, there is a wholeness that comes with helping and healing others, deep in my soul.
When I’m not hard at work, I’m a wife and mom to two boys. My oldest (6yrs) is special needs and requires much of my help and healing as well, but amongst the challenges and tireless effort he brings me so much light and love with his smile (he is the inspiration for my business’s name). My youngest (8months) is a little tornado force who keeps me on my toes but also fills my cup with joy and love beyond words. I am so blessed and have so much to be grateful for.
I want to help others onto the path of soul alignment and connection to the universe, and Reiki helps make that a possibility.

Gina is an experienced Reiki Master Teacher, practitioner, and Emotional Guidance Practitioner based in Milnerton. Her extensive background includes mastery in various lineages, such as Usui Shiki Ryoho, Karuna®, and Jikiden Reiki, supplemented by expertise in Crystal Healing and Personal Alchemy.
Gina’s path began over 20 years ago as an escape from a demanding corporate lifestyle. This transformative journey shifted her perspective on work and well-being, leading her to trade the “corporate grind” for a life of purpose. Since moving to Cape Town in 2010, she has been instrumental in providing accredited Reiki teachings to the region.
