Have you been a Reiki practitioner but feel like you’ve drifted away from it? Maybe life got busy, or you haven’t practiced in a while. That’s okay! Reiki is always there, waiting for you to reconnect. If you feel it’s time to rediscover your Reiki practice and bring its calming energy back into their life, read on…
It’s normal to step away from Reiki sometimes. Life can pull you in many directions, like work, family, or other responsibilities. You might feel out of practice or worry that you’ve lost your connection to Reiki’s energy. The good news? Reiki never leaves you. As a Reiki Master Teacher, I can tell you that the energy is always within you, ready to flow when you’re ready.
Simple Ways to Reconnect
Here are some easy ways to bring Reiki back into your life. You don’t need to do everything at once. Start with what feels right for you.
- Set an Intention
Take a moment to sit quietly and set an intention to reconnect with Reiki. This can be as simple as saying to yourself, “I am ready to welcome Reiki back into my life.” Your intention helps focus your energy and signals to the universe that you’re ready.
- Practice Self-Reiki
Self-Reiki is a great way to reconnect. Find a quiet space, place your hands on your body, and let the Reiki energy flow. Start with your head or heart and move to other areas as you feel guided. Even five minutes a day can make a big difference. Over time, you’ll feel the energy flowing more strongly.
- Meditate with Reiki Symbols
If you’re attuned to Reiki symbols, spend time meditating on them. Visualize or draw the symbols in your mind and let their energy guide you. This can help you feel connected to Reiki’s deeper spiritual aspects. If the symbols feel distant, don’t worry. Just focus on one at a time and let the connection rebuild.
- Revisit Your Reiki Roots
Think back to why you started Reiki. Maybe it was to help others, find peace, or grow spiritually. Revisit your notes from your Reiki training or read a favourite Reiki book. This can spark the joy and passion you felt when you first learned Reiki.
- Connect with a Reiki Community
Sometimes, practicing with others can reignite your spark. Look for local Reiki shares, online groups, or workshops. Sharing experiences with other practitioners can remind you that you’re not alone. If you’re a Reiki Master/Teacher, consider teaching a class or offering a session to someone. Teaching can deepen your own connection.
- Create a Reiki Routine
Build Reiki into your daily life in small ways. Try using Reiki while you shower, cook, or even during a short walk. You can also set up a small Reiki space in your home with candles, crystals, or anything that feels calming. A routine helps make Reiki a natural part of your day.
Getting Back Into the Flow
Feeling rusty? That’s normal. Here are some tips for common struggles:
“I don’t feel the energy anymore.” Trust that the energy is still there. Practice self-Reiki regularly, and the sensation will return with time.
“I don’t have time.” Start small. Even a quick hand placement for a minute or two counts.
“I feel out of practice.” Reiki is like riding a bike. You don’t forget it. The more you practice, the more confident you’ll feel.
Reconnecting with Reiki is about taking small, gentle steps. The energy is always there, ready to support you. Trust yourself, be patient, and let Reiki flow back into your life. You’re not starting over; you’re picking up where you left off. Welcome back to your Reiki journey!
